On Wednesday this week we embarked on a trip to Weston-Super-Mare Sewage Works to learn all about what happens to our water and toilet waste. We spent all morning being given a tour of the site which involved looking into some VERY deep tanks, seeing how the water and waste are separated, discovering the methods they use to mask the smell, and learning how they cleaned the water.
We then spent the afternoon learning about things we should and shouldn't put down the toilet and we even conducted our own experiments to work out why!
